WHO IS JESUS?

Have you ever wondered what it might have been like to live in Jerusalem during

the week of Jesus’ triumphant entrance and then the week after His crucifixion

and resurrection? How might you have responded to the worlds most significant

event? Might it have been with sadness because an innocent man was falsely

accused and condemned. Or maybe with joy because a religious zealot and crazy

man was finally being silenced. Possibly with curiosity in thinking just who was

this guy that stirred up so much passion in people or criticism from people, or

would you have responded with apathy or ambivalence because it really didn’t

matter to you, meaning it really had no practical meaning to your life in that

moment.

One thing is for certain, almost everyone who was in the city in those days would

have had to have had some type of reaction of what happened to Jesus because it

is doubtful that He would not have been the topic of discussion on almost every

street corner, in most every home, and certainly at the Jewish Temple and in the

Roman courts! Some 2000+ years later people are still talking about Jesus,

especially His followers and His critics. It seems the world is still asking itself the

question that would have been asked during that very tumultuous time, just who

is Jesus?

If you want to know the answer to the question of who Jesus is for yourself, study

His life this week (March 27 – April 5) by reading Matthew Chapters 21-28

(reading just one chapter each day). Walk with Him and His apostles, and observe

closely His words and His actions. In doing so, I hope you come to the conclusion I

came to at the age of twelve and still hold to at the age of sixty-eight. Jesus is Lord

and Savior of my life, having died for my sins, was buried, and has been

resurrected so that I can live in freedom from the bondage of my sin. Free from

God’s wrath, adopted into God’s family, and promised eternal life. Oh, what a

Savior, friend, brother!

There Is Victory in Jesus, today, tomorrow, and forever! Hallelujah!
